Hot on the trail of a rampaging werewolf, rookie monster hunter Cinna Rosales finds herself locked in a precarious situation: finish her mission and leave an orphan in her wake, or allow a monster to roam free.
With a half slaughtered town left in shambles from a rampaging werewolf, Cinna Rosales tracks the prime suspect of this carnage, an elf named Fleur Sulahn, to the island of Rubus. Previously thought to be uninhabited, she instead finds the newly established town of Solaris: an in-progress haven for the outcast. However, upon confronting her suspect she’s met with an unexpected surprise- the wolf has a child.
Despite Cinna’s organization, the Silver Shields, having a strict policy of execution on sight, she finds herself hesitating at the prospect of becoming an orphan maker. Things are further complicated as she finds herself welcomed into the community with open arms, and Fleur developing a rather obsessive interest in her.
Now trapped between a hard mission and a soft bed, Cinna is split: should she root out the wolf amongst the sheep, or succumb to her jaws?
